The hazel twig is a guide for learning in your life - a divining rod - a source of inspiration and wisdom.
Our process of learning and discovery results in actionable plans—your greater happiness in life and work.
It's your life, care for yourself and others, and your legacy.
CFP ® Fiduciary. CPCC Certified Professional Co-Active® Coach. Independent. Unbiased. Confidential.
Coaching is grounded in the belief that you are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.
Life, health, work, money, transitions, retirement, and legacy are topics you might bring to the coaching conversation.
What are your values?
What is your life's purpose? What do you dream about?
Where are you now?
We ask powerful questions. You have the answers.
Coaching helps you answer the questions in your life - big or small - to deepen your learning and take the action you decide.
I love metaphors for learning.
The hazel twig, with its curves and buds of growth,
is a divining rod for seeking
inspiration, fulfillment, and wisdom.
What's a metaphor for you?
The Co-Active® coaching framework empowers learning in active collaboration between the coachee (you) and the coach (me) as equal parties to the coaching process.
Our coaching conversations are about you.
And if charitable giving is a goal, I can offer independent, comprehensive philanthropic counsel to help you shape your legacy.
Hazel Twig does not manage money, sell products,
or prepare tax returns.
I work alongside your lawyer, accountant, and investment manager.
Coaching is always about you, but you might have questions about me, so I share some background here.
My career began in banking. I was interested in taxation, so I pursued education to become a CPA. I then owned a business and was a principal in a public accounting firm. I specialized in trusts and estates, working with widows and survivors.
I have volunteered, served on governing boards, and held leadership positions in nonprofit organizations, including a hospital and community foundation. Those experiences motivated me to work in charitable gift planning.
Since 2007, I have helped individuals and families create charitable legacies that support higher education, public policy research, and local communities.
I am married to Jim Killorin, and we reside in North Carolina. We have two accomplished daughters, four perfect grandchildren, and two rescued English Springer Spaniels. I love to read, knit, play pickleball, and golf.
My latest passion is teaching American Mah Jongg!
